Programme Description:

  • Develop essential knowledge and practical skills in childcare.
  • Learn to care for newborns, infants, and young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand child growth and development from birth to early childhood.
  • Apply child health, hygiene, and infection prevention practices.
  • Recognise common childhood illnesses and basic healthcare needs.
  • Promote proper nutrition, feeding, and immunisation practices.
  • Perform safe infant care, including bathing, dressing, and handling.
  • Provide basic first aid and emergency response.
  • Support children's emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.

 

 

Requirements

  Educational:

  • Age between 18-35.
  • Interest in early childhood development services.
  •  Able to read and write.
  • South African citizen.
