Programme Description:
The Ripple Effect is a school-based social entrepreneurship initiative that trains and supports young people to design and deliver after-school programmes that benefit learners and the wider community.
- At Rosendaal High School, participants will form a pilot team responsible for initiating and running small-scale programmes such as academic support, sport and recreation, and youth development activities. The initiative aims to build practical work experience while creating sustainable, income-generating opportunities over time.
- This 6-month pilot focuses on developing leadership, facilitation skills, and entrepreneurial thinking while addressing real needs within the school and community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support school programmes and operational needs as required
Assist in planning and delivering after-school activities (academic, sport, life skills).
- Engage learners in structured, positive development programmes.
- Identify community needs and contribute ideas for new initiatives.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to build the pilot programme.
- Participate in training, mentoring, and reflection sessions.
- Help track participation and provide feedback on programme impact.
