Programme Description:    

• Community Care and Youth Development. Participants will support community development initiatives focused on youth empowerment, education, health promotion, social support services, child protection, gender equality, and community outreach.
•  The placement will provide practical experience in programme implementation and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participants will be placed at Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs), Schools, Faith-Based Organisations, Old Age Homes, Community Centres, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Service Providers.     Participants will support youth development activities, community awareness campaigns, participant registration, programme administration, workshops, support groups, outreach initiatives, and home visits while maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality standards.

Skills Developed:

• Community facilitation, public speaking, monitoring and reporting, leadership, teamwork, project implementation, and community mobilisation and stakeholder engagement.

Experience and Skills:

• Must reside in or near Eersterust.
• Aged between 18 and 35 years.
• Good communication skills.
• Interest in community development and youth programmes.
• Willingness to learn and work in diverse environments.
• Access to a smartphone.
• Reliable and punctual.
