Dube TradePort’s Bursary Scheme is offering bursaries for 2027 enrolments to students who are residents of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).

Applicants must be in pursuit of a tertiary qualification in any of the fields of study listed below. Bursaries will be for students in their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study.

The funding is only for students who are enrolled in the following institutions: 

• Durban University of Technology (DUT)
• Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT)
• University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)
• University of Zululand (UniZulu)

Note: Private institutions are excluded

Please note that this opportunity is for students who do not qualify for NSFAS. 

Bursaries will be awarded to students studying the following disciplines:   

•  Engineering Studies.
•  Agricultural Studies (Crops/ Plants).
•  Information Technology Studies.
•  Built Environment Studies.

 Bursaries will be awarded based on the following:

• Available budget.
• Affordability level of the parent/s or authorized guardian.
• Good academic performance and other relevant criteria.

Applicants must NOT QUALIFY FOR NSFAS.

• Must be South African.
• Ideally, must be between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not qualify for NSFAS.
• Must be able to provide proof of household income.
