Programme Description:
Youth participants engage in training at community schools, gaining hands-on experience in leading, contributing to the community, and promoting healthy and positive practices. Youth are trained and employed as community sports leaders and after-school coaches. They engage learners (Grades 1–7) in games, structured sport leagues, and wellness activities that promote healthy lifestyles and social cohesion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sport sessions in schools and community centres.
- Facilitate recreational games and health promotion campaigns.
- Mentor learners in teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence.
- Assist in organizing local sporting events and leagues.
Educational:
Min Grade 12 (required)
Experience and Skills:
-Live in or near the site and have an in-depth understanding of the community.
-Age between 18-35 (Required)
-Interest in working in youth development programs
- Child Safeguarding vetting
-Smartphone
