The Department of Tourism, in collaboration with Harambee and the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), invites applicants to apply for the Integrated Service Excellence Programme. This Programme is targeted at unemployed youth to widen employment opportunities in the hospitality and travel and tourism sector. Applicants must stay within a fifty (50) kilometre radius of the participating sites and surrounding communities and land claimants.

The stipend is based on a maximum of 23 days worked per month.

• Applicants should be a South African between the age of 18-35
• Be in possession of a Matric Certificate (provide certified copies of certificates)
• Certified ID copy
• Proof of Residence (Municipal Bill, Letter from Tribal Authority or any other relevant proof of residence document
• Beneficiaries who have previously participated in the Department’s learnership or skills programmes should declare it in the application
• Be able to work flexible hours (e.g. weekends, public holidays and as-and-when required
• Have passion for Travel and Tourism and Hospitality
• People with disabilities are encouraged to apply
• Applicants must have a clear criminal record
• The successful participants may be required to perform various duties in line with SANBI workplace requirements based on the demand-led skills development approach. 
• The applicants should have reliable transport to and from work. 

NB: All short-listed candidates will be subjected to an interview to determine their suitability for the position(s) applied for. All appointed candidates will be subjected to Criminal record checks.
